On Thursday, the girl's tennis team took on GPS. Baylor won 5-2 with some tight matches throughout the day. Garrett and Ohlsson had the most dominant match of the day, winning 8-2. Margarette Berdy fell in her singles set, Helen Guerry came out on top going 6-0 and 6-4 in her sets, Sloan Proffit won her sets handedly going 6-0 in both, Claudia Finley fell in her sets, Molly Donovan won her sets 6-2 and 6-4, and Mae Mae Garrett won her sets 6-0 and 6-2.
In the doubles portion, Baylor kept the momentum, winning 5-2. Guerry and Proffit won their set 8-5, Donovan and Berdy won their set 8-5, Finley and Bradshaw won 8-4, Garrett and Ohlsson won their set 8-2, Duke and Sawrie won 8-5, Hemphill and Wu fell 4-8, and Clark and Johnson fell 0-8.
