Wingfoot XC Classic 2024

The fast fearless females of BXC crushed the Wingfoot XC Classic last night at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville, GA. Addy Cotter & Addi Greene once again led the way with dominant performances in the night's premier race-- the Championship Girls 5K. Conditions were hot and dusty; but undeterred, Cotter and Greene (16th and 17th overall respectively) paced their squad to a strong 17th place finish in the invitation-only field of 31 teams. Racing over rolling hills and hay bale jumps, seniors Laney Fowler, Betsy Williams, & Claire Ellish were the next scoring runners—followed by Kate Henry & Rees Hamilton.

In the JV Championship race, Baylor's girls were 5th of 20 teams, and Peyton Roop led her team in 11th overall. Luci Hemphill, Ruby Dozier, Emily Beardsley, & Meghan Royal rounded out the JV scoring squad--followed by Asha Chavda, Rivky Strauss, & Mabry Warren.
Gracey Weekley, Charlotte Brock, and Annabella Neslin represented in the Freshman Girls 5k. Weekley was Baylor's top finisher with another PR, finishing in 17th.

Next up for both the girls' and boys' cross-country squads is Saturday's McCallie Invitational at Moccasin Bend.
