The Lady Red Raiders had the upper hand most of the game as a seven-point lead after one quarter was 24-16 at intermission. The second half was the difference as Baylor had a 32-19 advantage, including 14-5 in the final quarter.
Aubrey Bush and Xahara Willis led the Lady Red Raiders with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Mariya Staten scored 10 to lead Tyner in an effort that included three 3s.
Tyner will be at home on Thursday to host Howard in their brand-new gym while Baylor's next game will be at home on Saturday when they host Providence Christian.
It was kind of quiet on the Baylor campus when the game ended, but it won't be like that on Friday when the Red Raiders host McCallie in the D-II-AAA football semifinals.
