Baylor basketball programs made the short trip up I-75 on Friday night to take on Walker Valley, with all four programs in action.
The Lady Raiders JV set the tone early with an incredible defensive effort, rolling to a 35–4 victory. The momentum continued with the Boys JV, who followed with a strong 40–23 win.
In varsity action, the Lady Red Raiders controlled the game from start to finish, earning a wire-to-wire 62–39 victory and improving their record to 10–5 on the season. Baylor was led by Aubrey Bush with 25 points and Xahara Williams with 22.
The nightcap saw the Boys Varsity seven-game winning streak come to an end with a 66–53 loss. A slow first quarter created a deficit the Red Raiders were unable to overcome despite a strong effort the rest of the way. Baylor was led in scoring by Jake Neal with 21 points, followed by Taheim Elohem with 12 and Ezra Sixto with 10.
Baylor will be back in action Saturday, January 10, as the Red Raiders host Tri-Cities.
