A cold and snowy Monday in the Chattanooga Valley forced Baylor and GPS indoors, as the match was moved to the Zan and Alex Guerry Tennis Center.
With doubles play first, Baylor had to battle for the opening point. GPS claimed the win at No. 2 doubles, leaving the point to be decided by the other two courts. Baylor answered in a big way, as Zoe Kate Mahler and Chloe Sawrie along with Evie Mahler and Anson Daniel came through with wins to secure the doubles point and give the Red Raiders an early 1-0 lead.
Baylor carried that momentum into singles play and took control of the match. Millie Beukes picked up the first singles win of the afternoon, followed by victories from Mae Mae Garrett, Lucy Arce, Peyton Standifer, and Sloan Proffitt.
Winning five of six singles courts, Baylor rolled to a 6-1 victory over GPS in another strong showing for the Red Raiders.
