Late Heroics Lift Baylor Lacrosse Past Defending Champs

Baylor Lacrosse delivered a statement win Thursday night, edging defending public school state champion Nolensville 11-10 in a thrilling finish on the road.  

In a game filled with momentum swings, the Red Raiders showed resilience from start to finish against one of the top programs in the state.

Baylor's offense was balanced and explosive throughout the night. Hunter Rosser led the charge with four goals, while Rice and Robbins each added two scores to keep the pressure on the Nolensville defense.

When the moment called for it, Baylor delivered.

Trailing late, Henry Kelle stepped up with a clutch tying goal to even the match and set the stage for a dramatic finish.

Then, in the final seconds, Baylor found its hero.

With just 20 seconds remaining, Will Mayberry buried the game-winner, sealing an 11-10 victory and capping off an impressive road win over the defending champs.

The Red Raiders' ability to execute in critical moments and stay composed late proved to be the difference in a high-level matchup.

A big-time win for Baylor as they continue to build momentum early in the season.
