Baylor Tennis made it back to back Rotary Tournament championships, with both the boys and girls bringing home team titles in another outstanding weekend for the Red Raiders.
Baylor dominated the singles flights, with the boys winning five of the six singles championships and the girls matching that feat with five singles titles of their own. The boys also added a doubles title, while the girls picked up two doubles championships.
The highlight of the tournament came at No. 1 singles, where Anurag Kallambella battled through an unforgettable match. After dropping the opening set, he rallied to win the second set in a tiebreaker before closing it out in the third set with a 10 point tiebreak victory in the final singles match still on the court.
For the boys, Jackson Mactaggart won the No. 2 flight, Johan Schick took the No. 3 flight, Patrick Mactaggart claimed the No. 5 flight, and Keller Veltenaar captured the No. 6 flight. Baylor also earned the No. 2 doubles title with Anurag Kallambella and Antoine Coco Goyer.
On the girls side, Sloan Proffitt won the No. 2 flight, Lucy Arce claimed the No. 3 flight, Peyton Standifer took the No. 4 flight, Millie Beukes won the No. 5 flight, and Mae Mae Garrett captured the No. 6 flight. In doubles play, Sloan Proffitt and Chloe Dickens won the No. 2 flight, while Chloe Sawrie and Zoe Kate Mahler took home the No. 3 flight title.
Another huge showing for Baylor Tennis and another reminder of the depth and talent across both programs.
