This year, the TSSAA Spring Fling expanded to two weeks and Week One featured plenty of Red celebrating championships across the state.
The week started in Chattanooga at the Champions Club where Baylor Tennis captured Back-to-Back Team State Championships on Wednesday for both the boys and girls programs. The Red Raiders followed that up on Friday by winning 3 of the 4 individual titles, claiming Boys Singles, Boys Doubles, and an All-Baylor Girls Doubles Final which guaranteed another championship for Baylor.
Charlotte Hoss, a sophomore at Baylor, finished fourth in the Tennessee State Pentathlon at Ensworth. The All-State performance set new personal records for Hoss in both the 100m hurdles and 800m events and she was consistently among the top 6 finishers in the other events among 19 participants.
Hoss will participate in the 100m hurdles, HJ, 300m hurdles and 4x100 relay in the high school state meet events next week.

Now Baylor turns its attention to Week Two as Baseball, Softball, and Track & Field head to postseason competition.
Baseball opens play Tuesday in Murfreesboro vs CPA at the Fields of Faith complex located behind One Church-Calvary across from the PCA campus. Baylor enters Spring Fling with a 26-5 overall record. Address: 423 Dejarnette Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37130
Softball will open Tuesday night against Chattanooga Christian at McKnight Field at 6:30 PM EST. Regardless of Tuesday's result, Baylor will return to action Wednesday at 5:00 PM EST in either the winner's bracket final or elimination bracket game. The Lady Red Raiders enter Spring Fling with a 23-9 overall record.
Track & Field will now compete in Knoxville after a new Spring Fling format adjustment moved the state meet to the Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium on the campus of University of Tennessee. Events begin Wednesday morning and continue throughout the day with finals scheduled into the evening.
Be sure to follow along on all Raider Recap social media platforms and the Baylor Sports App throughout the week for updates, scores, and coverage from Murfreesboro and Knoxville.

If you are making the trip, we hope to see plenty of Red supporting Baylor all across the state this week.
