Playing Career
Coach Price was an outstanding prep athlete in basketball and football at Meade County High School. He went on to be a member of the men's basketball program during his time at Samford University in Birmingham, AL.
Coaching Career
Prior to Baylor, Price served as an assistant men's basketball coach for the Division I Belmont Bruins. During his tenure there, the Bruins went 144-55, played in 3 NCAA Tournaments and three NITs, won six consecutive conference championships, received national Top 25 poll votes six out of seven campaigns, and earned victories over North Carolina, Marquette, Stanford, and Georgia. Also at Belmont, Price coached NBA players Ian Clark (Golden State Warriors) and Dylan Windler (Cleveland Cavaliers). Belmont posted the nation's longest home court win streak and road win streak during this span.
Prior to Belmont, Price spent two seasons as head coach at NCAA division II Ouachita Baptist University. Price also spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Furman University and five seasons at University of Alabama in Huntsville, where he helped the Chargers to the 2002-03 Gulf South Conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearances in 2003 and 2006. In 2001, Price was a key piece in Faulkner University (AL) finishing with a 34-5 record en route to the 2001 NAIA National Championship. He began his coaching career in 1998 as an assistant at the University of Mobile.

Coach Price is married to Kara Price, and they have two children; Kate and Kallie.
