Coach Kates has been the head coach at Baylor for 7 years. He came to us from the Haverford School in Haverford, PA where he served as the assistant coach. Prior to that, he was the Head Coach at the Pace Academy in Atlanta, GA.

Personal
Coach Kates teaches History, AP Art History, and World History in the Upper School. He is married to Betsey Kates and they have two children; Helen and Eleanor.
