History was made in Chattanooga! For the first time in school history it was Baylor vs McCallie in the finals.

"Two months after winning the most exciting Baylor-McCallie football game ever played, coach Ralph Potter's Blue Tornado came out on top in the most meaningful matchup ever staged between the storied Chattanooga rivals.
McCallie's 34-28 victory Thursday night inside an electric Finley Stadium was accompanied by a fourth TSSAA Division II-AAA state championship in the past five years.
McCallie's 34-31 triumph over Baylor at Spears Stadium on Sept. 29 contained a rivalry record five lead changes. Their BlueCross Bowl rematch came down to the final minutes before being settled.
