Baylor continued its strong season with a 4-1 victory over Knoxville Catholic, picking up its 15th win and improving to 3-0 in region play.
Brenna Bagley led the way in the circle, delivering a dominant performance. The right-hander allowed just two hits and struck out nine, keeping the Irish offense off balance all evening.
Despite tallying only four hits, Baylor made the most of its opportunities at the plate. Chloe Cunningham got the Red Raiders on the board early with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first. In the second, Adison Wallington added to the lead with a sacrifice fly, and Cunningham later came home on a wild pitch to cap off the scoring.
Xahara Willis, Mary Margaret Guthrie and Olivia Elkhill recorded the other hits for Baylor in a game defined by timely offense and strong pitching.
With the win, Baylor remains unbeaten in regional play and continues to build momentum as the season progresses.
Baylor is back in action tomorrow hosting Webb on a double header starting at 3:30. We will also honor our seniors at the conclusion of the second game.
