Baylor Sweeps Webb on Senior Night with Dominant Wins
Baylor celebrated its three seniors in style Thursday night, sweeping Webb with a pair of dominant region wins—18-0 in game one and 14-0 in game two.
In game one, senior Mary Blake Reese led the charge at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a single, double, and grand slam, racking up 6 RBIs. Xahara Willis added two home runs and 4 RBIs, while Mary Margaret Guthrie and Chloe Cunningham both turned in multi-hit performances.
Game two saw more offensive fireworks. Ellison Dematteo went 3-for-3 with three doubles and 5 RBIs, Amiya Leach and Rylee Jasper each went 3-for-3, combining for three doubles and two RBIs. Reese added an RBI triple, and Guthrie continued her hot night with two more hits and 2 RBIs.
Jasper was dominant in the circle, tossing all seven innings across both games, allowing just two hits and striking out 11.
The sweep adds two more region wins.
