Baylor Track & Field at Fast Break Invitational
Baylor's track & field teams battled through windy conditions at the CCS Fast Break Invitational and came away with strong results against a competitive field of 30 schools. The girls' team claimed first place overall, while the boys' team finished a solid second.
Girls Highlights:
- Maddie Winchester – Broke her own school record to win the discus and placed 2nd in the shot put
- Maryl Ford – 1st in the pole vault
- Addy Cotter – 1st in the 1600
- Maelynn Adams-Cook – 2nd in the 300 hurdles, 3rd in the 100 hurdles, and 4th in the high jump
- Ellie Higgs – 2nd and 5th in the discus
Boys Highlights:
- Marshall McConville – 1st in the 3200
- Gilbert Stein – Scored 24 points with 2nd place finishes in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, and long jump
- Gage Whited – 2nd in the 400
- Jimmy Bryson – 3rd in both the shot put and discus

Baylor will return to competition next Saturday at the MidSouth Invitational, hosted at GPS.
