The tradition continues.
Two more Red Raiders were selected in this year's MLB Draft, adding to an ever-growing list of Baylor Baseball alums making their mark in college and pro baseball.
2025 MLB Draft Picks:
- Henry Godbout – 2nd Round, Pick 75 – Boston Red Sox
A steady presence at the University of Virginia, Godbout helped lead the Hoos to Omaha and now joins the Red Sox as one of the top infielders in this year's draft class.
- Jay Dill – 18th Round, Pick 530 – Oakland A's
A former Baylor arm who developed into a reliable weapon at Troy University, Dill earned his MLB shot with the A's after a strong senior campaign.
Former Red Raiders in the Draft:
- Cooper Kinney – 1st Round Comp Pick, 2021 – Tampa Bay Rays
After a
strong 2024 season, Kinney continues to climb the minor league ranks. A polished lefty bat and high-IQ infielder, he remains one of the Rays' top prospects.
- Danny Corona – 16th Round Pick, 2021 – Pittsburgh Pirates (Did Not Sign)
Instead of going pro out of high school, Corona attended Wake Forest and was a key part of their 2023 World Series team.
- Nick Kurtz – 4th Overall Pick, 2024 – Oakland A's
The Wake Forest slugger and former Baylor standout made headlines with his
major league debut in April 2025, less than a year after being drafted. A rising star in the A's organization.
- Christian Moore – 8th Overall Pick, 2024 – Los Angeles Angels
A dynamic talent from Baylor to Tennessee to the top 10 of the MLB Draft, Moore made his
MLB debut in 2025, bringing energy and swagger to the Angels' lineup.
