Baylor rolled to an 11-1 win over Catholic in five innings in a key region matchup, putting together a dominant performance on both sides of the ball.
In the circle, Adison Wallington was outstanding, going the distance and allowing just two hits while keeping Catholic off balance all game long.
Offensively, Baylor was just as sharp, racking up 11 runs on 12 hits. The big moment came in the bottom of the second inning when Xahara Willis launched a three-run home run to break things open and give Baylor a 5-0 lead.
Wallington also contributed at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and an RBI. Emma Hartline finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs, while Makenzie Dinsmore went a perfect 2-for-2, scoring three runs and adding a walk. Chloe Cunningham added two hits, including an RBI double, and Ellison Dematteo recorded two hits, drew a walk, and drove in a run.
A complete team effort powered Baylor to the run-rule victory and an important region win.
