Baylor bounced back in a big way, erupting for 15 runs to defeat Soddy Daisy 15-5 in a five-inning run-rule victory.
Soddy Daisy came out strong, scoring two runs in the top of the first, before Adison Wallington ignited the offense in the bottom half with a two-run home run to even the score. Soddy answered again with three runs to take a 5-2 lead, but that would be the last momentum they would see.
Baylor broke the game wide open in the bottom of the third, exploding for 10 runs in a dominant offensive inning that shifted control for good. The Red Raiders added three more in the fifth to secure the run-rule win.
At the plate, Wallington led the way going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Emma Hartline finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a walk, while Spencer Higgins went 2-for-3 with an RBI double. Chloe Cunningham added two hits and two RBIs, and both Amiya Leach and Rylee Jasper contributed with 2-for-4 performances.
In the circle, Jasper went the distance to earn the win for Baylor.
The Red Raiders will be back in action Monday as they host Silverdale.
