A day after weather and lightning forced Baylor's match against McCallie to be halted, the Red Raiders returned to Black Creek on Wednesday and found clear skies for their rivalry matchup with GPS.
Baylor took care of the Bruisers, securing a 4-0 victory and continuing its strong play with the East Region tournament just days away.
Senior Katie Grace Tuder earned Baylor's first point of the afternoon with a victory in her match.
Mylee Murillo and Caroline Au followed by adding two more points for the Red Raiders, with both closing out their matches on the sixth hole.
Baylor then secured the team victory with the fourth point, clinching the 4-0 win over GPS. Eighth-grader Charlee Spearman was also competing for the Red Raiders, but her match did not need to be completed after Baylor had already secured the four points needed for the team victory.
The rivalry win comes at a great time for Baylor as the Red Raiders now turn their attention to the East Region tournament Monday at Bear Trace.
Baylor will look to carry the momentum from Wednesday's performance into postseason play.
