A perennial factor in the state championship race, Baylor was the TSSAA Division II state champion in 2014 and 2017, and was runner-up in 2016, 2018, and 2020.

Baylor fields varsity and junior varsity teams each fall for Upper School girls and will field up to three Middle School teams in the winter for girls in grades 6-8.

  • Baylor won the state championship in 2014 and 2017 and won back-to-back state titles in 1997 and 1998, only the third team in the Chattanooga area to repeat as state champs.
  • Baylor was state runner-up in 1996, 2006, 2011, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024.
  • Baylor was third in the state in 1995, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2019.
  • Baylor was region champion in 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022.
  • Baylor was district champion in 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998.
  • Baylor has had players named to the all-state team 26 times since 2009.
  • Baylor has had players named to the Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of Preps team 35 times since 2009, including five named Players of the Year.
  • Baylor has had five players named Chattanooga Times Free Press Player of the Year: Andrea Shipley (1998), Gabby Gray (2014), Sarah Sumida (2017), Ally Craig (2018), and Elaine Redman (2020).
  • Gabby Gray was the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year in 2014.  31 all-state players since 2009
  • Baylor's (then head coach) Kurt Emmanuele was the Tennessee Division II Coach of the Year and the Chattanooga Times Coach of the Year in 1998.
  • Baylor's head coach Sarah Lail was the Chattanooga Time Free Press Coach of the Year in 2014, 2017, and 2019.
  • Baylor has had 20 players since 2009 continue playing volleyball at the next level at the following colleges and universities: University of Toledo, Rollins, Rhodes, Butler, Lee University, University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, McDaniel College, Marville, Tennessee Tech, Berry, West Point, Western Carolina, Tusculum, Palm Beach Atlantic, Shorter, Middle Tennessee State University, Mississippi College, West Alabama, Carson Newman, and Manhattan College.
