With 16 Appearances in the state championship game (nine championships and seven Runners-up) in 27 years, Baylor has earned a reputation as a perennial contender for the state title in girls' soccer.

Baylor fields girls soccer teams at the varsity, junior varsity, and middle school levels. Varsity teams compete in the TSSAA Division II Middle/East region.

Baylor Girls Soccer Fast Facts

  • Baylor has been state champion nine times -1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2010, 2011, 2017, 2023 and 2024. The Red Raiders were runners-up in 1995, 2000, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2015, and 2021.
  • In the final national high school rankings of 2000, Baylor was the only school that had both boys' and girls' squads in the top 25 (the girls were 15th and the boys 18th).
  • The Baylor girls team finished the 2002 season ranked 15th in the nation by the NSCAA and 10th by Max Preps in 2024.
  • Coach Curtis Blair was inducted into the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame in 2023 and has been named United Soccer Coaches Association “Coach of the Year” four times.  Coach Blair was named the United Soccer Coaches National Private Coach of the Year in 2023.  Blair has now lead Baylor to five state championships, three on the boys side and two with the ladies.

  • Baylor climbed to a No. 4 NSCAA national ranking during the 1998 season.

The Baylor soccer complex features a lighted stadium with an Olympic size field and two adjacent fields, including one featuring artificial field turf, for practice and play.
