Addy Cotter and Marshall McConville made big splashes as race victors in Tuesday evening's Front Runner Area Championships at a beautiful Baylor cross country course along the Tennessee River.
Cotter won the girls 5k in a time of 18:28:49—edging teammate Addi Greene—as these two position themselves to compete for a state championship in two weeks.
Junior McConville outsprinted CCS's Zachary Youngblood—breaking the tape in 15:49:77.
Baylor girls were third behind Signal Mtn & CCS. Cotter, Greene, Laney Fowler, Betsy Williams, & Kate Henry scored for the red Raiders.
The Baylor men were fourth behind McCallie, CCS, and Signal—led by McConville, Lake Montgomery, Mercer Murphy, Calen Hawk, and Cash Carlson.
