Baylor defeated Knoxville Catholic 1-0 on senior night.
At the 1
st minute, Olivia Newton scored off a Lilly Catalanotto corner.
It was 1-0 at halftime.
Baylor had numerous chances but couldn't break down Catholic to add anymore to the scoreboard. It ended 1-0.
"It is always great to get an early goal. I thought our mentality changed when we scored the first one. I thought Coach Martin (Josh) had a great game plan and did a great job of getting numbers behind the ball and making it difficult to break them down. We created chances but have to find a way to put the ball in the back of the net. We did such a great job of that against Briarcrest, but just couldn't put it together. I am really proud of seniors that have been with us for a long time and continue to contribute to the program at a high level. We are thankful for Lilly Adair, Avery Listen, Sara Hill, Layli Nunes, Addi Greene and all that they have done for Baylor and Baylor Soccer."- Coach Blair
