Baylor hosted Briarcrest (Memphis) in the TSSAA Division II-AA State Quarterfinal and came away with a 3–0 victory to punch their ticket to the Final Four next week in Chattanooga.
At the 27th minute, Elizabeth Silva opened the scoring off an Emily Betterton assist.
It was 1–0 at halftime.
In the second half, Ayanna Hamler made it 2–0 in the 51st minute off a pass from Hadley Griffith, and Emily Betterton capped the scoring in the 57th minute on a cross from Ayanna.
Coach Blair reflected on the win:
"This was a special day for our team and seniors. Our seniors got to walk off their last home field game with a win.
I thought we started the game very well. We were aggressive from the beginning and created early chances. The quality of our service wasn't where it needed to be in the first half but was much better in the second, which opened up the game. We are excited to be back in the Final Four."
Standouts: Lilly Catalanotto, Brylee Faulkner, Zoe Misenhimer, Charlotte Hoss, Ella Metzner (GK), Virginia Foster (GK), Reese Rowlett, Grace King
