back-to-back undefeated regular seasons for the first time since the TSSAA classification system began in 1969. The Red Raiders also went unbeaten in 1973, 1975, and 1978 — including the
1973 National Sports News Service National Championship season.
Cherry connected early with

Hank DeGennaro for a 9-yard score on the fourth play. DeGennaro finished with six catches for 143 yards and a touchdown.
Kolby Barrett added a 79-yard interception return for a touchdown to make it 14-0, and Cherry found
Jayden Arenas-Michel (MTSU commit) for a 3-yard TD just before the end of the first quarter. Cherry and Theodore later connected from 31 yards out to make it 28-0.
Jack Ferguson scored twice on the ground (14 & 5 yards), with the second set up by
Henry Kelle's 41-yard interception return.
Baylor senior
Gabe Osenda (Tennessee commit) was held out, while
David Gabriel-Georges added 35 rushing yards on five carries.
