Baylor Football opened region play in dominant fashion Friday night, scoring all 42 of its points in the first 21 minutes on the way to a 42-0 victory over Christ Presbyterian Academy at Heywood Stadium.

The win moved the Red Raiders to 5-0 on the season and extended their winning streak to 17 consecutive games dating back to the beginning of the 2025 season.

The victory also marked a milestone for Baylor head coach Erik Kimrey, who earned his 50th win as head coach of the Red Raiders.

Senior quarterback Keegan Croucher led an explosive Baylor passing attack, completing 14 of 16 passes for 353 yards and five touchdowns. Croucher did most of his damage in the opening half, completing 13 of 16 passes for 343 yards and five scores as Baylor quickly took control.

Baylor struck with big plays throughout the opening quarter. Beckham Stokes hauled in an 83-yard touchdown reception, while Tennessee commitment David Gabriel Georges turned a reception into an 80-yard score. Stokes finished with two catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.

Georges made the most of limited work, rushing twice for 15 yards and a touchdown while adding the 80-yard touchdown reception.

Baylor's passing game spread the ball around. Braxton Rein caught three passes for 52 yards and a touchdown, Brady Lewis had two receptions for 36 yards and a score, and Jayden Cauv ier added a touchdown reception. Antwaun "Cornbread" Adams contributed a 48-yard reception as part of the Red Raiders' big-play attack.

While the offense provided the early fireworks, Baylor's defense made sure CPA never found an answer.

The Red Raiders recorded the shutout while holding CPA to just 73 passing yards. Xavier Bowman intercepted a pass and added a pass breakup, while Cortez Carr Jr. helped control the line of scrimmage with three tackles, including two tackles for loss. Carr was later named the Tuff Player of the Game.

Baylor coach Erik Kimrey told the Chattanooga Times Free Press that the week had been about improving as a team and developing the passing game.

"I thought this was a week that we really needed to work on us getting better, and I saw some areas of growth in our team," Kimrey said. "I was pleased with the way we came out and handled the situation. We wanted to get our passing game rolling a little bit, and I thought Keegan handled it really, really well."

The victory gives Baylor a 1-0 start in TSSAA Division II-AAA East Region play and keeps the Red Raiders perfect through the first five games of the season.

Baylor 42, CPA 0. Five games. Five wins. Seventeen straight. And career win No. 50 at Baylor for Coach Kimrey.
