Baylor Soccer stays unbeaten with 2-0 win over Notre Dame
Baylor hosted Notre Dame in a non-region matchup and came away with a solid 2-0 victory, moving to 3-0-1 on the season.
Antonio Basan opened the scoring in the 25th minute off a great assist from Luke Higgo. The Raiders carried a 1-0 lead into halftime. In the 57th minute, Basan struck again — this time finishing off a pass from Jackson Bergmann to double the lead.
Baylor's defense held strong throughout, with standout goalkeeping from Blayden Schwartz helping secure the clean sheet.
Coach Curtis Blair:
"I love to play Jim Schermerhorn and Notre Dame because they are so well coached and organized. They make you play at a high level. I was proud that we defended very well except the last 15 minutes. We have to learn how to finish games. I thought Blayden Schwartz had a great game in goal for us."
Standouts: Marshall Bible, Thomas Vance, George Coyle, Correll Davis, Carter Weekley
