Final: McCallie 3, Baylor 2

In a tightly contested region semifinal for seeding, Baylor struck first in the 13th minute as Philippe LaForge found the back of the net off a Carter Weekley free kick. McCallie answered just before halftime with a header, knotting it 1-1 at the break.

Antonio Basan gave Baylor the lead again in the 61st minute, scoring off a LaForge assist. But McCallie responded quickly — equalizing on a free kick in the 62nd and taking the lead on a penalty in the 70th.

Despite the result, Coach Blair remains encouraged:"I love how hard our guys played tonight. We're getting better each match and so close to putting it all together. The progress over the last two weeks has been amazing, and we're excited to keep it going."

McCallie advances to face CCS in the region final. Baylor will host CPA in the state tournament play-in game.
