FINAL: Meadowcreek 3, Baylor 2
Baylor Boys Soccer came up just short on Senior Night, falling 3-2 in a tightly contested non-region match against Meadowcreek.
The Raiders took an early lead in the 19th minute when Antonio Basan finished off a pass from Philippe Laforge. After a Meadowcreek equalizer in the 32nd minute, Laforge put Baylor back on top with a goal in the 57th minute off a Carter Weekley assist.
Meadowcreek struck late, scoring in the 69th and again in the 79th minute on a counter to escape with the win.
Coach Curtis Blair: "It's frustrating right now because we are playing better soccer but beating ourselves. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and we have to keep getting a little better every day… We want to thank our seniors for all they have given over the years and help them end on a high note."
