The Red Raiders went on the road Tuesday night for a non-region matchup against Father Ryan and came up just short in a hard-fought 4–3 loss.
After falling behind in the 24th minute, Baylor responded quickly as Ryleigh Ramey finished a pass from Reese Rowlett to level the match at 1–1. Father Ryan regained the lead off a free kick before halftime to go up 2–1.
In the second half, the Irish extended their advantage to 3–1, but Baylor continued to fight back. Ayanna Hamler capitalized inside the box to cut the deficit, and later Zoe Misenhimer buried a penalty kick in the 75th minute to make it 4–3. Despite several late chances, the Red Raiders couldn't find the equalizer.
"I thought we started the game very well and just couldn't break them down in the final third. We gave up four bad moments in the game but overall played pretty well. We will get back to work and correct those mistakes and be fine." – Coach Blair
Standouts: Charlotte Hoss, Brylee Faulkner, Elizabeth Silva.
Record: Baylor moves to 3–1–1 on the season.
