A pair of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga signees were among four players from three-time reigning state champion Baylor School who were selected to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association's all-state girls' soccer team for the 2025 season.
The selections for all five TSSAA classifications in girls' soccer were announced early Monday morning, wrapping up this season's TSWA all-state picks for high school fall sports after cross country, football, golf and volleyball were announced last week.
Zoe Misenhimer was an X factor for Baylor at center back, where she excelled while helping the Lady Red Raiders to their third consecutive Division II-AA state championship, with all three titles secured by shutout wins in the finals. In addition to her defensive excellence, Misenhimer was a free-kick specialist, as she scored seven goals and added 10 assists in large part due to her ball-striking ability on set pieces.
Moving on from Baylor to UTC with Misenhimer next season will be fellow Baylor senior and all-state selection Emily Betterton, a blazing forward whose combined 13 goals and assists helped the Lady Raiders finish the 2025 season with a 19-2-1 record and a No. 5 national ranking by MaxPreps.
The Lady Red Raiders accounted for half of the Chattanooga area's eight all-state girls' soccer selections. Also picked from Baylor were sophomore forward Ayanna Hamler, who led the team with 26 goals, and junior midfielder Reese Rowlett, who was a dominant force with her ability to direct her team and win aerial duels.
