Baylor’s Run Ends at State After Final Four Appearance

2026 Baylor Volleyball Team

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A journey that began during the summer and officially opened with a season-opening match against Soddy Daisy on August 18 came to an end Tuesday as Baylor Volleyball closed out its 2026 season in the TSSAA Division II-AA State Tournament Final Four.

The Red Raiders finished a memorable season with a 25-6 overall record, an East Region Championship and a trip to the state's Final Four.

Baylor battled through two tough matches Tuesday in Murfreesboro, falling to Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA) in the opening match before seeing its season come to a close against Briarcrest Christian in the elimination bracket.

Baylor opened the day against CPA in a tightly contested match that was much closer than the final 3-0 score indicated. The Red Raiders battled throughout all three sets but came up just short, falling 25-22, 25-20 and 25-22.

With little time to regroup, Baylor faced a quick turnaround, returning to the court just hours later for a 6 p.m. Eastern elimination match against Briarcrest Christian.

The Red Raiders came out strong, capturing the opening set 25-16 and putting themselves in position to extend their season.

However, Briarcrest responded by taking the next three sets, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-16, to secure a 3-1 victory and bring Baylor's championship run to an end.

While Tuesday's results were not what Baylor had hoped for, they do not diminish what this team accomplished throughout the season.

An East Region Championship, 25 victories and a Final Four appearance highlighted a year filled with hard work, determination and memorable moments for the Red Raiders.

From summer workouts and long practices to road trips, big victories and postseason battles, this group continued to compete together and represent Baylor School with pride.

A Special Thank You to Our Seniors

For five Baylor seniors, Tuesday marked the final time they would wear the Red Raider uniform.

Brenna Bagley, Rory Oleksik, Scarlett Kelley, Willa Provonsha and Milyn Hold have each left their mark on Baylor Volleyball through their dedication, leadership and commitment to the program.

To our five seniors, thank you.

Thank you for the countless hours, the sacrifices, the memories and everything you have given to Baylor Volleyball. Your impact goes far beyond wins and losses, and you will always hold a special place in the hearts of the Baylor family.

We cannot wait to see what the future holds for each of you.

The scoreboard may say the season is over, but the friendships, lessons and memories created along the way will last a lifetime.

Congratulations to head coach Sarah Lail, her coaching staff and the entire Baylor Volleyball team on a memorable 2026 season.

East Region Champions. State Final Four. A season to remember.

Once a Red Raider, always a Red Raider.
