Baylor Leads With Six Honorees
No team in Tennessee had more TSWA All-State baseball selections than Baylor, as six Red Raiders earned recognition: Blake Lundy, Brooks Berry, Mac Morris, Wells Grisham, Henry Allen, and Jack Schuman.
- Lundy established himself as one of the nation's top high school power hitters. During his junior season, he homered in eight of his final nine games, accounting for 10 of his 14 home runs during that stretch.
- Berry led the Red Raiders with a .443 batting average. The Alabama signee added 15 extra-base hits, scored 37 runs, and stole 14 bases.
- Morris was outstanding at shortstop, where the fellow Alabama commit posted a .976 fielding percentage with nine double plays. He also led Baylor with 41 runs scored, 19 stolen bases, and 15 doubles.
- Schuman, a Clemson signee, batted .375 with 30 RBIs while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in center field. He also recorded 13 extra-base hits and 13 stolen bases. (Verify the stolen-base total if needed.)
- Grisham, a Pittsburgh signee, finished 8-0 on the mound with a 2.54 ERA and 81 strikeouts in 44? innings.
- Allen, a Kennesaw State signee, was a standout two-way player, hitting three home runs while also earning five victories on the mound.
