Baylor Golf turned in a successful day at The Gibby on Monday at The Ooltewah Club, highlighted by a tournament victory for the girls and a third-place finish for the boys.
The Baylor girls captured the team championship, continuing a strong start to the season for the defending state champions. Charlee Spearman led the way for Baylor, firing an even-par 72 to help the Red Raiders secure the tournament title.
On the boys side, Baylor finished third overall against a competitive field. Mason Bankston paced the Red Raiders with an impressive 68, while Jack Morgan followed with a 71.
The results come one week after both Baylor teams finished second at the Matt Cunningham Preview, with the boys competing at Black Creek and the girls at Sewanee.
With the season still in its early stages, both teams continue to gain valuable tournament experience as they work toward their ultimate goal of being at their best when the postseason arrives.
Congratulations to both Baylor Golf teams on another successful day on the course.
