Baylor defeated Silverdale Academy 9-1 thanks to a big 5
th inning at the plate.
In the bottom of the 3
rd, Amari Jefferson hit a homerun to right field, scoring 2 runs. Jefferson followed that up in the 5
th when he doubled, scoring one run, and Nelson McKnight hit a grand slam to center field. Baylor piled up 9 hits in the game. Jack Schuman led the team with 4 hits in 4 at bats. McKnight went 1 for 2 with 4 runs batted in. Jefferson had 2 hits in 2 bats as well. Henry Allen earned the win for the Red Raiders. He allowed 1 hit and 0 runs over 5 innings, striking out 8 and walking 2.
