Down by as many as four runs, Baylor rallied to take a 6-4 win over the Christian Brothers Purple Wave in the DII-AA Final Four at Wilson Central High School.
Christian Brothers jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first that held until the top of the third when the Red Raiders tied it at four all. Baylor struck for three in the second when Jack Shuman singled home Zach Morrison and a Nelson McKinight single scored Henry Allen and Chris Renager.
The Red Raiders added a lone run in the third on a Blake Lundy homerun to left.
The score remained knotted at four all until Baylor loaded the bases in the top of the sixth and added one run when Morrison walked pushing Kilby Hartley across the plate and then another when Matt Dill singled on a ground ball to center scoring Amari Jefferson from third.
Jax Bishop earned the win with a six inning, 107 pitch outing, allowing four runs on five hits with five strikeouts and three walks.
