Baylor's harriers experienced true cross-country conditions on Saturday morning—blustery wind, spitting rain, and muddy trails. The big news of the day was Addy Cotter's come-from-behind victory in the race's closing 200m. The eighth-grader won her third race of the season with an 18:35.4 for the 5K distance. Addi Greene continued her excellent season crossing fourth, and Laney Fowler, Betsy Williams, and Claire Ellish were scoring varsity runners for the fast fearless females.
As he has all season, Marshall McConville led his squad—pacing them with an 8th place finish in 16:15.6. Lake Montgomery and Mercer Murphy continued in their top three roles, and Calen Hawk & Carter Witt were team scorers.
The girls came away with a third-place finish and the boys were fifth of 12 teams. After the hijinks of Spirit Week, BXC will next compete at Heritage HS's Fast Break Challenge on October 8th.
