Baylor's impressive season came to a close at the State Championships in Murfreesboro.
The Lady Red Raiders fell to CPA 25-17, 32-30, 25-14, and later to Knoxville Catholic 25-17, 25-11, 25-14 — ending their season with a strong 26-8 record.
Head Coach Sarah Lail, in her 17th year at the helm, reflected on the team's journey while driving back to Chattanooga after a long day at Providence Christian School, where the Division II-AA matches were held:
"Today just wasn't our day, but this doesn't define our season. We had a lot of new faces this year and I'm really proud of what we did to get there. We fought from start to finish and worked hard all season. I'm just sad that it's over."
Final Four at State — and we couldn't be prouder of this team!
