Baylor traveled to McCallie on Thursday for a region matchup but came up short, falling 3-0.
McCallie struck first in the 19th minute with a shot from inside the box, then added another in the 26th minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Early in the second half, McCallie capitalized on a corner kick to extend the margin to 3-0, where it would stay.
"Give McCallie credit — they finished the chances they created. They won the midfield and we had a hard time adjusting. I think as the game went along, we settled in, and we created some good opportunities, but we must find ways to score goals. We will have another huge region match on Monday and we must now turn our focus onto that game," said Coach Blair.
Next up: Baylor hits the road again Monday night for a key region match against CCS. Kickoff at 7:00!
