Baylor Soccer earned a strong region win Monday night, pulling away in the second half for a 3–0 victory over Webb School of Knoxville.
After a scoreless first half, the Red Raiders broke through in the 49th minute when Liam Guay found the back of the net off a Thomas Vance assist to open the scoring.
Baylor continued to apply pressure, and in the 65th minute, Antonio Basan finished an Owen Bible cross to double the lead. The Red Raiders put the match away in the 76th minute as Noah Chawky converted off a Correll Davis cross to seal the 3–0 result.
Defensively, Baylor was sharp throughout, holding Webb off the board and controlling the tempo of the match.
"I thought we did a great job defensively tonight and created chances but have to be more urgent in getting on crosses from wide areas. It was good that we used a lot of players tonight and that was nice to see everyone contribute in some way," said Coach Curtis Blair.
Standouts: Hunter McCoy, Mathew Ramirez (GK), Kane Parker, Henry Collins
Baylor improves to 14-1-3 on the season.
