Busy Week for Baylor Track & Field

Baylor Track and Field capped off a busy week in style this weekend! Following up on a score of successful performance at the Baylor-McCallie/GPS Duel on Wednesday, this Saturday's Front Runner Chattanooga Area - Top 16 meet saw Red Raider athletes put up top marks in a number of events. 
 
On the men's side, Gage Whited placed third in the 100 meters in a school record time of 10.59 and Joakim Dodson set a new personal best. Whited also placed second in 200 meters and first in the 400 meters. Mercer Murphy set a new personal best in the 800m. Marshall McConville placed first in the 1600m, and Cash Carlson ran a huge personal best.  Lake Montgomery placed first in the 3200m in a new personal best. Gilbert Stein placed second in the 110 hurdles and third in the long jump.
 
On the women's side, Addy Morgan placed first in the triple jump, and Addison Cotter placed first in the 800m in a new personal best. Ellie Higgs placed first in the discus and Maddie Winchester placed second. Winchester followed up with a second-place performance in the shot out. The women's 4x800m relay placed third overall, and Charlotte Hoss placed second in the long jump. Riley Swinford set a personal best in 100m, as did Addy Morgan in 400m. 
 
The Baylor Track & Field team will have a week of preparation before heading to the Regional Championship at Webb School of Knoxville, on 5/6 & 5/8!
