Baylor Track and Field athletes took advantage of a beautiful afternoon and went faster, higher, and stronger, en route to a home meet win over CCS. The Red Raider men outscored CCS 94-42, and the women came away with 69-67 victory.
Numerous Red Raiders posted personal best and season-best marks and individual event wins.
On the men's side, Jordan Djila Thchuisseu won the 100m and led a parade of Red Raiders, who took 6 of the top 8 spots. The distance runners took first and second place in the 800m (Harrison Stroud & Van Ogorsolka) and the 1600m (Lake Montgomery & Cash Carlson) and swept the top three places in the 3200m (Marshall McConnville, Lake Montgomery & Cash Carlson). Carter Hoyle took top honors in both the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles and Red Raider sprint relays took the wins in the 4x100m and 4x200m. Baylor jumpers racked up points, placing first and third in the high jump (Ezra Sixto & Levi Sixto), and sweeping the top three spots in the triple jump (Liam Bauer, Lucas Maonis & Hank Long). Ben Boehm took top honors in the pole vault and the throwers put up big points, sweeping the top three spots in the discus (Jayden Arenas-Michel , Emery Julien & Maddox McClure) and the top two spots in the shot put (Emery Julien & Jayden Arenas-Michel).
On the women's side, the sprints group was led by Riley Swinford, who took the win in the 100m. The distance and middle-distance group took home a podium sweep in the 400m (Addy Cotter, Pei-Ying Olsen & Addy Morgan), and the top two spots in the 800m (Addy Cotter & Maddie Hawk) and 1600m (Ruby Dozier & Gracey Weekley). Kailyn Wilson came away with a big win in the 100m hurdles and runner-up finish in the 300m hurdles. Horizontal jumpers took the wins in the long jump (Maddie Woods) and triple jump (Addy Morgan). In the throws, Ellie Higgs and Alexys Brown took home first and second in the discus.

this Saturday at the CCS Charger Relays.
