Baylor Soccer Weekend Update
Friday:
Baylor traveled to Oak Ridge for a non-region matchup and came away with a dominant 4-0 win.
- 4' – Antonio Basan scored off a pass from Heath Techasiriwan
- 8' – Luke Higgo finished off a setup by Basan
- 18' – Basan struck again, assisted by Owen Bible
- 68' – Higgo netted his second of the night, again off a Basan assist
Standout performances in goal from Mathew Ramirez and Blayden Schwartz helped preserve the clean sheet.
Saturday:
Baylor competed in the Bearden Soccer Tournament.
Morning Match vs. Beech – 2-2 Draw
- 15' – Beech goal
- 52' – Beech goal
- 71' – Basan converted a penalty kick
- 77' – Owen Bible leveled the score with a strike from outside the box
Afternoon Match vs. Maryville – 3-1 Loss
- 15' – Maryville goal
- 16' – Luke Higgo quickly equalized
- 36' – Maryville regained the lead before halftime
- 49' – Maryville extended the margin to 3-1
Coach Blair: "I take the blame for the last game. We asked a lot of our guys to play that many games in a short time and we have to get healthy. We will continue to work and get better and know that we have some big games coming up."
