Baylor hosted Dalton Tuesday evening in a strong non-region matchup and handed the visitors their first loss of the season, earning a 2–1 victory on campus.
The Red Raiders struck first in the 27th minute when Liam Guay converted a penalty kick to give Baylor a 1–0 lead at halftime.
Baylor added another early in the second half. In the 47th minute, Antonio Basan found the net after a shot from Alberth Valcarcel, extending the Red Raider lead to 2–0.
Dalton answered in the 62nd minute off a cross to make it 2–1, but Baylor's defense stood strong down the stretch to secure the win.

Dalton entered the match 8-0, but Baylor handed them their first defeat of the season.
