The Baylor Red Raiders are headed back to Murfreesboro.
Baylor completed a two-game sweep of Briarcrest Christian on Wednesday afternoon on campus, punching its ticket back to the TSSAA Division II-AAA Spring Fling next week.
The Red Raiders opened the series with a dominant 11-0 victory behind a lights-out performance from senior Wells Grisham. The Baylor senior struck out 11 hitters over five no-hit innings, setting the tone from the start and helping Baylor take full control of the opener.
Baylor's offense backed him up in a big way, highlighted by a home run from Lundy as the Red Raiders erupted offensively throughout Game One.
In Game Two, Baylor battled to a 5-3 victory to complete the sweep and officially secure another trip to the Final Four in Murfreesboro. Berry provided one of the biggest swings of the afternoon with a home run in the clincher as Baylor once again delivered timely offense in key moments.
The Red Raiders continue to build momentum at the right time after also capturing another East Region Championship earlier in the postseason. Baylor now turns its attention to Spring Fling with another opportunity to compete for a state title.
Another complete team effort.
Another trip to Murfreesboro.
Baylor will play the winner of CPA and MBA next week
