Senior Libero Reaches Career Milestone in Wednesday Night Victory Over East Hamilton
Baylor volleyball continued its perfect start to the 2026 season Wednesday night, but the Red Raiders' fifth consecutive victory also provided a special moment for senior Rory Oleksik.
Oleksik recorded the 1,000th dig of her Baylor career during the Red Raiders' victory over East Hamilton, adding another milestone to an outstanding career for the senior libero.
The achievement came as Baylor improved to 5-0 on the young season and continued an impressive opening stretch that has featured contributions throughout the lineup.
Oleksik has been a cornerstone of Baylor's defense throughout her career, and that has continued during the opening weeks of her senior season. She entered Wednesday coming off a 16-dig performance in Tuesday's victories over Coahulla Creek and Gordon Lee.
Her consistency in the back row has been a major part of Baylor's success, and Wednesday night she officially joined the 1,000-dig club in front of the home crowd.
The milestone adds another accomplishment for a senior class that has experienced plenty of success during its time at Baylor.
While Oleksik's achievement highlighted the night, the Red Raiders once again took care of business as a team, earning another victory and keeping their undefeated start intact.
Baylor is now 5-0 to begin the 2026 campaign after victories over Soddy-Daisy, Brentwood Academy, Coahulla Creek, Gordon Lee and East Hamilton.
For Oleksik, Wednesday was about more than another number in the win column. It was a night to celebrate 1,000 career digs and the work, consistency and commitment required to reach the milestone.
Congratulations to Rory Oleksik and Baylor volleyball!
